some carriers will make you pay for caller id… all phns are made with the capability of having caller id but unless its enabled with ur telephn carrier it will not work.. no one can get private number u can change your number as an option… i know with landlines u have an option of declining private numbers but am yet to see a cell phn carrier that does that….

  • Check a phone directory for your area. It should have this information in the adjoin.

  • Caller ID is a function that your telecom provider can turn-on or turn-off on your service line.

When you have the most basic PSTN land-line phone service, Caller-ID is usually disabled and you have to pay extra for the feature to have it enabled. So, in this case, even if your telephone you bought is “capable” of showing Caller-ID, it will not work unless your phone company has enabled Caller-ID data to be transmitted to your phone.

It just depends on the wrap you bought from your telephone service provider.
Nearly all VoIP phone services come with caller ID already enabled.
