Well, doing a quick Google search to see if my number was listed or not, revealed a complaint listed at 800notes.com, also known as the directory for UNKNOWN numbers.
Evidently, as we have concluded, a telemarketing (scam) firm has been using our phone number and spoofing the caller id’s to mask their actual number. The unsettling fact is that, according to the complaint, they have been receiving MULTIPLE calls from the same number (ours) thus creating the concern for complaint. This is completely is wrong, but the end caller can’t tell looking a their caller id spoofed display!
Just go to 800notes. com and type in your phone number and you can inquire if someone has posted a complaint against your number. There is a place to reply - so we took the oportunity to rebuttle our position and add a link back to this blog, of course!
