Katrina vicitim claims $97m powerball prize

Construction company owner stopped at gas station to buy his wife a gallon of milk when he bought a Power-Ball ticket.  As a construction company owner who lost two homes in Hurricane Katrina, he waited several months before claiming the  $97 million Power-Ball jackpot. It was from a  single ticket he bought at a convenience store where he stopped to buy his wife a gallon of milk.

The local convenience store will receive 25K just for selling the winning ticket. They can really use it as their roof was torn off and the business looted during the storm.

With a 33M plus lump sum payoff, the 73-year-old small businessman says he’ll be retiring!
