Is there whatever thing legally incorrect with a company providing a forum for complaints but deleting valid ones?
SORRY FOR SUCH A LENGTHY QUESTION!!
I’m honestly certain this is really officially authorized, but I just want to make sure. I’m having a major issue with Palm. Basically, as soon as I bought the phone, I had horrible reception everywhere I live. It fluctuates horribly, and finally got so terrible that I am having to guide BLOCKS away from my house to make phone calls. This never happened on other phones from the same carrier. Even Sprint tells me that they get this complaint about the Palm Pre constantly. Anyway, I started looking around on the net and it seems like possibly THOUSANDS of other Pre owners are experiencing the same issue and all want answers. I went to the Palm forums and noticed the same thing, but nobody from Palm is answering anyone’s questions.
Well I went ahead and made my own thread on there, insisting EVERYONE pile into this one thread. I was contacting Palm through their live chat support and posting the conversations so everyone could see. More and more people were joining and complaining and asking me how it was going. Finally, I posted a link to an older well loved thread about the same issue…22 pages of people complaining without Palm responding.
Well that seemed to have gotten their attention. Finally, the forum administrator came into the thread and told me that I can’t make anymore outfit about the issue. He closed my thread and told everyone in there to CALL Palm to complain. Then he went to the other thread that I linked to and DELETED IT.
I contacted Palm a bit ago and questioned for their corporate address or an e-mail so I could complain about all of this, and they really told me they’re not allowed to give that information out. They said that you can ONLY complain over the phone! Basically you aren’t allowed to place your complaints in writing to them.
Well, after going to another supervisor and him saying the same thing for about 10 minutes, he FINALLY gave up the corporate address and phone number. So I guess my real issue here is just the forum thing. How officially authorized is it for the forum administrator to be deleting and closing outfit to disperse people who are having tribulations with this phone?
THANKS
Telemarketers flood my phone and fake numbers are shown on caller id. What to do?
The regime’s do not call registry list program has failed huge time. Telemarketers are coming with news ways to avoid detection. one method they use is that the caller id displays “ANONYMOUS”. Another method is that the caller id displays a number that does not exist, like 123456789 or a number that looks real but when you dial it does not exist.
The telemarketers mask their number, to beat caller id. Consequently the do not call registry program has failed. I cannot file a complaint against them because i don’t know their number. Whoever made the technology to mask numbers from caller id should be sued, jailed and made to do hard labor.
Furthermore the regime should pass a bill that masking your number on caller id is illegal. And telephone companies should come up with ways to unmask the fake number or check any call which has fake number. The phone company says they have no way of doing that. Why not?
these rogue telemarketers are gaining steam and have started to target many people
Well there is a few ways.
1) Apparently if you press the # button repeatedly when they call it stuffs up their system and removes you, even if I have never tried this.
2) Act interested for about 5 minutes, say “oh sorry can you hold on one second please?” If they want the sale they will say “sure” and then just leave the phone their and go about doing whatever you were beforehand until they get sick of coming up and hang up. (They usually won’t call over again)
or my personal favourite
3) Whenever they try to sell their product, pretend you are selling a similar product. For each time they try to sell you theirs, say “I see your point but did you know…” and say random made up statistics about your “product.”
If they don’t stop calling after these at least you can have fun annoying them?
Who do I friend concerning changing my telephone number to a local number?
My service is provided by Verizon. They suggest that I sign up for a different calling plot and pay extra money to eliminate being charged for local phone calls (I did have that plot until both my husband and myself lost our jobs and I had to drop it). My complaint is that if I had Embarq my calls would not cost me whatever thing!! My phone number is for a town over 10 miles from me. I can not get digital phone through my cable company any. I know that there has to be an end to each area somewhere, but why wouldn’t the areas make sense? What can I do to at least get a name to look into this problem? Surely there is a way to fix this. I cannot be the only self who has an address in one town and a phone number from another town. This would not be a problem if I did not have to pay for every call I make to businesses and homes in my area. I do not even call the town everywhere my phone number originates from!
I know of a self working in the make up field who has a nasty skin condition.?
My ex-gf cheated on me with several guys. One of the guys she cheated with towards the end of are link gave her clamydia and some sort of contagious skin disorder. She starting getting these black a skin condition on her chest, neck and back about a 2 months ago and now I’m getting it and it’s spreading quick.
She went to Boston with one of the guys she cheated with and got a new job out their doing makeovers. She changed her phone number and I just started getting calls from her previous employer looking for her because of customer complaints about the rash. I have a Dr. appointment after the new being but I’m worried to even go near any of my family or friends because of this spreading blotch.
This isn’t about being spiteful because obviously I’m pleased to be rid of her, but I would despise to reckon she was spreading this to other people. Especially to ladies just looking to get their makeup done.
Now my question is.. No matter how I place it, I’m always going to sound like a spiteful ex bf looking to do my ex harm. I don’t want that to be the case because I just dont want other people to get this black stuff all over their skin. Like I’m already hearing from her previous employer.
Who can i report this to that would take me seriously and take action for what it is..an infected self working in close proximty to others with a contagious skin disease or disorder. not sure yet what it is.
We have that too, we have people with Hamburg, IA. address in our exchange with Rock Port, MO numbers. there’s nothing that can be done, to the companies it’s only a problem for you, they’re not going to sell or buy part of an exchange just to get a few more customers from it, there’s a lot of validity, and cable to bury, LOTS of expense for the companies.
Your only option is (if you have high speed internet) to invest in a magic jack or vonage.
The first step is to make a diagnosis. After that, depending upon what the diagnosis is, it might be a reportable disease or I don’t know not. But, that will become evident after the diagnosis is made. Go to your local dermatologist for both help in diagnosing it, and then treating it.
