I just recently became the victim of spoofing on my cell phone. I had no idea what this was until I called my cell phone provider and explained to them that I keep getting phone calls from people asking me why I called them . When I told them that I did not call them, they would repeat my cell phone number from their caller id. I tell them that I am sorry and I am not sure what is going on. In any event, my cell phone carrier told me that it is called cell phone spoofing and not to worry as I was not being charged for the calls. That really is not my concern, my concern is is the invasion of my privacy and I have no control over what the spoofer it saying or doing with my cell phone number. Scary.....does anybody know how we can prevent this from happening without changind our cell phone number. My concern about changing my number is, can they get it again. Thanks for any help you can give me.
